Well, at five weeks old Derek had quite an experience! My parents went with us to Florida to find and buy a house. We left on a Friday morning and met in Houston at Heather's. We dropped off our car and packed up the "red popper" Mom and Dad's new car, and headed towards Crestview, FL. Derek did such a great job, he was a trooper. My Dad had to get use to stopping every three hours so Derek could eat. Back in the day, they didn't even have to put us in car seats, so this was very new to Nana and Papaw! Once we arrived on Saturdy evening, there was no time for resting, Sunday morning we were off to search. God was really watching over us, we found a house within three days, signed papers and were back on the road by Wednesday night! Here is a pic of our brand new house, it will be ready just in time for the move. Mom and Dad, we couldn't have done it without ya'll!!
